Leaving for Sea-Tac tomorrow
Will be there for for 10 days before we go east and then start south again
This is a short post about the area we stayed in. I will finish the other posts about the Portland area over the next few days.
This was our first time in a public campground - Barton Park in Boring, Oregon (it's in Clackamas County by the Clackamas River). We had trouble finding a nice, private RV park in Portland.
The Park is 15 miles southeast of Portland. And is beautiful! We only had electric and water hookups - no sewer for our gray and black water. We will take advantage of the dump station as we leave.
We didn't want to use the dump during our stay because it would involve moving our coach to the station and then driving back to our site and setting up again. So we were on the water austerity program - paper plates, no laundry and short, short showers. All went well as our gray water (which fills up first) is still at half.
Our camp host is Kelly and her place is set up for the summer!
We had a lovely afternoon this past Saturday at Bent Shovel Brewery, a craft beer establishment about 2 miles from camp. The barn is in their backyard. The beer was good, the owners were friendly and the place was just cute!
Finally, recreational cannabis is legal in Oregon. I don't know all the rules around it, but it is everywhere. There is a store just a few miles from our RV. With a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. You don't have to go far when you get the munchies. Made me laugh. Long line at the food truck over the weekend.
