Stopover

Currently In: Williams, AZ
Next week we will be in Glendale, UT checking out Zion and Bryce National Parks

We spent one night in Gallup, New Mexico on our way to Williams.  We weren't expecting to do anything but took a drive along the old Route 66 (there is a theme going here) and had dinner at the famous Earl's Family Restaurant.

The inside was very typical diner.  This is fine dining in Gallup!  Our meal was delicious - really.
So we had a visitor in the rig as a result of a coincidence from last week.  When Johnny and I were at the airport flying back to Albuquerque we ran into 2 people from ArcelorMittal! Sara Simon and Sava Pavkovic were flying to Minneapolis to see customers.  After a quick conversation Sava told us that his son is working at the Indian Medical Center in Gallup!  How weird.  I've known David Pavkovic since he was a child - we last met at a Bears game 4 or 5 years ago.
We contacted him and he joined us for a beer in Gallup.  What an impressive young man.
