UPDATE: This Day in History

Update to my post from last week.

It’s been a year!

One year ago today our house was sold, the RV was loaded and we hit the road.  That was 14,505 miles ago.  Updated:  Apparently, we haven't figured out how to reset the date/time, but the miles are right!

Including our "dry runs" to Tennessee and a couple of other places, we have been to 28 states and parked our RV at 67 RV parks, the RV Hall of Fame (Elkhart, IN) and 1 Walmart.  We have visited with family and old friends, and made numerous new friends along the way.

<I can’t get my pictures to load right now, so I will update this post later.  I couldn’t let the day go without noting this momentous occasion.
Wahoo!>

Update: I couldn't get my pictures to load on the iPad (no computer) because both Johnny and I were in the Chicago Western Suburbs this past weekend to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday!  Another momentous occasion.

Where was our rig, you ask?  Maybe you didn't ask, but you're gonna find out.  We had a "check engine" light coming on for the last couple of months.  The RV was at the Cummins dealer getting that service done while we were gone.  We had to empty the refrigerator and clean it out, pack, drop our rig off, and get to the airport all in the same day.  Yikes!
Thanks to Uncle Dave and Aunt Kiyo for safekeeping some of our stuff.
While we were in DG, we visited with the Keefe family.  Sorry, didn't get very many photos while catching up with the family.

And spent some time with our old neighbors.  Same people we hung out with the night before we left last year!
It has been quite a year.  We are grateful for the opportunity to travel around our awesome country, experience its natural beauty, and meet the coolest people ever!
