A day at the beach

Currently In:  Lake Havasu, AZ
Leaving for Yuma on Thursday

The next day we went back to the Island District.  We took a bike ride along the 4 mile paved path that loops the middle of the island.  That's Cupcake Mountain in the background again.

We saw the desert, blue lake and mountains on a beautiful morning.

There was a motocross event (where the banners are waving) taking place as we toured the Island.  I don't think I got a good photo, but we stopped and watched for a minute.

These palm trees are on the property of an RV resort.  There were several RV parks on the Island.  Some had sites right on the water.

Finally, the beach!

We spent some time in the shade, too.

There happened to be a beer fest in the park next to the beach. Whaaat?

It's been a long day.  Time for a nap.
