Johnny Keefe National Holiday

Currently In:  Hot Springs AR
Next Up: On our way North!  Memphis, Bull Shoals, Branson

I am behind in a couple of blog posts, but need to get this one done right away.  Then I will circle back to our last few days in Texas.

Anyone who knows Johnny Keefe knows his love of St. Patrick's Day.
Hot Springs did not disappoint.  For us, it started on St. Paddy's eve, where we met some fun people from Memphis who invited us to their home where we are there next week.  Lots of great people across the country.
It's not the Chicago River, but the water fountains were green.

We walked the streets of downtown to get our bearings while waiting for this parade.  Everyone was wearing green and the town was in party mode!
Bridge Street is 290 feet long and home of the World's Shortest Parade.  Not the best photo.
 People lined up early!
There were floats.
Irish Wolfhounds - huge!
A guy on stilts riding a bike.
One of my favorites was this van with its message to follow the rainbow.
I guess Idaho requested to be in this parade.
The potato is real! And dressed up for the holiday.
The parade would not be complete without St. Patrick! I don't quite understand the rhino dressed up as a leprechaun, but hey.
This one is in the record books.  And one we will never forget.
